Changing the world, one comic at a time. Today in English class, my teacher was asking us all what we wanted to do when he graduated from high school. When she came to me, I proudly stood up and told everyone that I wanted to be a comic book artist.
My friends of course, supported me, but my teacher said..."Why? Shouldn't you do something more impactive? Something that can change the world...?"
I didn't say anything at the time, but I wanted to put up this journal to explain how drawing comics CAN change the world, even if by a little.
Fact is, we're humans and some of us have no power whatsoever, like the President or whatever does...It's hard to change the world, so I try to do what I can through my comics. I don't care if this sounds corny, but it's true.
Like with Naruto...when I first started getting into Naruto, I was quiet and didn't like to express the way I felt. But after I read the series and saw how awesome Naruto was, I changed into who I am now. Comics, mainly Manga, can really change a person and how they view things...
Take "Golden Moon" for example. That story is about discrimination, friendship and the problems with humans and the world we live in. I may not be able to make a big decision like, we should raise or lower taxes...but I can show my ideals and how I want the world to be through my comics, and to the people who read them....
